Airport Lounge Review: SATS Premier Lounge Changi Airport Terminal 2

Taipei . 2015 . Jan 17

This post is part of our Taipei Trip Report and Itinerary. Do check out the full itinerary and our reviews here.

Having tried the Skyview Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 1 during our previous trip to Bali, we decided to make a visit to the SATS Premier Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 2 before our flight on Scoot to Taipei.

This time round, we decided to utilise our complimentary vouchers from the American Express Krisflyer Ascend card as the ANZ Travel card does not include this lounge in their list. The card permits 4 complimentary access each year to any participating SATS Premier Lounge in Singapore and Plaza Premium Lounge around the world.

Lounge Access

The lounge is located on Level 3 in the Departure Transit Hall in Terminal Two.

Here's the sign that greeted us before we got on the escalator to Level 3.

There are a number of lounges on the same floor. Just follow the sign as you come out of the escalator. Turn right to go to the SATS Premier Lounge.

Just present your boarding pass, the vouchers together with your Krisflyer Ascend card to the staff at the reception counter. Supplementary card holders can also utilise the voucher to the lounge. The 4 vouchers that the card provides would entitle 2 visits to the lounge every year for you and your spouse. Once the staff verifies your card and voucher at the counter, its off to the lounge!

Bright Lounge Environment

The lounge is bright, with comfortable leather seats. There are plenty of seats when we were there on a saturday night.

Similar to the previous lounges that we visited, newspapers and magazines are readily available for you to pass time while you wait for your flight in the lounge. There are also computers for free internet access if you want to do some last minute checking.

There are also massage chairs from OTO if you would like to pamper yourselves before the flight.

Food and Beverages

There are quite a selection of food available, starting with salad.

Biscuits and breads - if you want something light.

Signature Chicken Rice with the sauce - which we thought was so-so only.

Nasi Goreng Kampung (Malay Fried Rice) - ok.

Ramen Noodle Soup - which we didn't try.

Coffee, Tea, Soft Drinks. There are instant noodles too if you have some cravings for that.

Desserts to end your meal. We took the Lychee and Soya Bean Jelly, which was quite nice.

Conclusion

As with other lounges, the SATS Premier lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 2 is a good place to rest and have some light finger food and drinks before your flight. We would certainly visit the lounge again for our next flight!
